AIDSRide Promoter Dan Pallotta to Appear on D.C. NPR Station’s ‘Public Interest’
Dan Pallotta, CEO and chair of Pallotta Teamworks, the company that organizes and runs several regional annual AIDSRides, will appear on WAMU's "Public Interest with Kojo Nnamdi" today with guest host Mary Tillotson. WAMU is a Washington, D.C., NPR station (WAMU Web site, 2/11). Pallotta, whose company has produced AIDSRides since 1994, has drawn criticism from groups that contend too much of the money raised goes toward promotion and production expenses and not enough goes to the charities the rides are intended to help (Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report, 6/21/01). A list of WAMU affiliate stations and a link to listen to the report live are available online. Check local listings for air times.
