St. Louis Post-Dispatch Profiles Doctor Who Focuses on HIV-Positive Patients
As part of a series on how people in St. Louis are fighting HIV/AIDS, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on Sunday profiled Dr. Darren Wethers, a doctor "devoted" to caring for HIV-positive patients, particularly African Americans. Wethers is the medical director of the infectious disease clinic at Saint Louis ConnectCare -- where 98% of the patients are HIV-positive -- and has his own private practice in which 35% of his patients are HIV-positive (Shelton, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, 8/11).
