Groups Establish First Youth HIV/AIDS Prevention Fund in China
The China Youth Development Foundation on Wednesday launched the country's first youth HIV/AIDS prevention fund with an initial donation of $120,000, Xinhua News Agency reports (Xinhua News Agency, 8/30). The fund, also supported by China Youth Daily and Guilin Latex Co., a condom manufacturer, will focus on five areas: AIDS prevention education, volunteer youth and social groups that promote AIDS awareness, research on government youth AIDS policy, scientific research and cooperation between international nongovernmental organizations.
