NPR’s ‘Talk of the Nation/Science Friday’ To Feature Interview With NIH Director Elias Zerhouni
The first hour of NPR's "Talk of the Nation/Science Friday" today will include an interview with NIH Director Dr. Elias Zerhouni about his background, his work and the "challenges" of guiding NIH through "the increasingly political world of biomedical research" (Flatow, "Talk of the Nation/Science Friday," NPR, 9/20). Zerhouni established the Institute for Cell Engineering at Johns Hopkins University and was confirmed as NIH director in May (Kaiser Daily Health Policy Report, 5/3).
