The Washington Post yesterday profiled the "Tour de Friends," a new bicycling fundraising event sponsored by Washington, D.C.-based Food & Friends, which provides meals to homebound people with HIV/AIDS. The ride, scheduled to to begin June 19 in Raleigh, N.C., and end in Washington, D.C., on June 22, is replacing the Washington, D.C., AIDSRide run by Pallotta TeamWorks for seven years, after "dismal" returns from this year's ride "put a severe dent in the budget" of Food & Friends (Morello, Washington Post, 9/22). The article is available online.
