Actor Danny Glover Begins Filming in Trinidad for Television Program on HIV/AIDS
Actor Danny Glover on Wednesday arrived in Trinidad to begin filming a television program on youth and HIV/AIDS scheduled to air on the cable network Showtime, the AP/Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel reports. The episode will feature Glover talking to Trinidadian young people about HIV/AIDS; approximately 17,000 individuals in Trinidad and Tobago are HIV-positive, including approximately 300 children. The episode is the first of 10 in a series, titled "Hot Spots" and produced by RCN Entertainment and scheduled to begin airing in January, highlighting the struggles of children around the world. The United Nations helped develop the idea for the series. Actress Angelina Jolie and actor Jeff Bridges are each scheduled to host an episode in the series (Smith, AP/Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, 11/20).
