New York Times Profiles Economist, AIDS Funding Advocate Jeffrey Sachs
The New York Times on Friday profiled economist Jeffrey Sachs, whom the Times calls "a tireless advocate for big injections of foreign aid to fight AIDS, malaria and other diseases that ravage poor countries." Sachs is currently the director of Columbia University's Earth Institute, a professor with appointments in three of the university's schools, an economic advisor to at least six countries and an advisor to U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan (Altman, New York Times, 11/29). The full article is available online.
