NPR's "Morning Edition" today reports on the "intersection" of tuberculosis and HIV, which presents a "deadly and unprecedented co-epidemic" for Russia and the "entire global community." NPR reports that Russia has the "fastest growing" HIV rates in the world and some of the highest rates of "dangerous" multi-drug resistant TB, particularly within the prison system (Hamilton, "Morning Edition," NPR, 3/14).
