The first two parts of documentary director Rory Kennedy's five-part series of 30-minute documentary films that focus on people living with AIDS in Brazil, India, Russia, Thailand and Uganda aired yesterday on HBO, the Boston Globe reports. "Thailand" and "Uganda" aired last night; "Russia" will air next Sunday at noon ET; "Brazil" will air on June 29 at noon ET; and "India" will air on July 6 at noon ET (Ryan, Boston Globe, 6/15). The documentary series, titled "Pandemic: Facing AIDS," profiles a woman in Thailand who contracted HIV through sex work and examines issues such as how a Ugandan village is helping AIDS orphans, among other issues (Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report, 5/19). Several newspapers have reviewed the film, including the Boston Globe, the New York Times, the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the Seattle Times and the Washington Post. A kaisernetwork.org HealthCast of a luncheon premiering a brief part of the documentary is available online. The luncheon is a discussion moderated by Judy Woodruff, anchor of CNN's "Inside Politics," and participants include Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-Mass.) and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah).
