Magazine Examines Issues Related To HIV/AIDS, Human Rights
- "Human Rights and HIV/AIDS: Tied Together," Human Rights magazine: The American Bar Association Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities' fall 2004 issue of Human Rights magazine examines the human rights dimensions of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in the United States and worldwide. The magazine also includes a brief history of the ABA's work on legal issues related to HIV/AIDS and examines specific challenges in minority communities, the workplace, vaccine clinical trials and several countries, including India, China and Russia (Human Rights, Fall 2004).
- ESSENCE magazine: The magazine on Monday announced it will donate to the Black AIDS Institute 100% of its net proceeds from every new subscription ordered from Nov. 15 through Dec. 31. The magazine has set a goal of raising $250,000. Actress and comedian Mo'Nique is the magazine's spokesperson for the campaign, titled "Our People. Our Problem. Our Solution" (ESSENCE release, 11/15).
