- "Techniques and Practices for Local Responses to HIV/AIDS," KIT, UNAIDS: The toolkits -- which are available in a limited number of print copies, as well as free of charge on CD-ROM -- are divided into two sections. The techniques section includes 20 methods for applying a local HIV/AIDS program in different stages of the planning cycle. The practices section contains 50 practices used to address specific problems that might arise in prevention, care and treatment, and support and mitigation. - "Guidelines for the Management of Chronic Kidney Disease in HIV-Infected Patients: Recommendations of the HIV Medical Association of the Infectious Diseases Society of America," Clinical Infectious Diseases: The treatment guidelines, which were issued by the HIV Medical Association and written by Samir Gupta of the division of infectious diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine and colleagues, discuss how to manage chronic kidney disease in HIV-positive people (Gupta et al., Clinical Infectious Diseases, 6/1).
