Data Online for Population, Health and Nutrition: Phnip.com/dolphn/ -- a database that is developed and maintained by the Population, Health and Nutrition Information Project, a USAID resource -- has released new statistical data on current health conditions, health and family planning behavior, population dynamics, and health and population trends in developing countries (PHNIP release, 5/25).
- New Committee Chairs, Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria: The Global Fund on Monday announced several new committee chairs, including U.S. Ambassador Randall Tobias, head of the State Department Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator, as chair of the Policy and Strategy Committee; Lieve Fransen, head of the Human and Social Development Unit at the Directorate-General for Development of the European Commission, as chair of the Finance and Audit Committee; Urbain Olanguena Awono, public health minister of Cameroon, as chair of the Portfolio Committee; and Anandi Yuvaraj of AIDS Alliance India as chair of the Ethics Committee (Global Fund release, 5/23).

HIV Leadership Awards, TheBody.com: TheBody.com, an online resource for HIV/AIDS information, recently presented its "Outstanding HIV Clinician" award to Kristen Ries, clinical director of the Infectious Diseases and HIV Clinic at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, and its "Outstanding HIV Physician Assistant" award to Maggie Snyder, a registered nurse and physician assistant at the clinic (Salt Lake City Deseret Morning News, 5/22).
