GBC Best Practices for Businesses’ HIV/AIDS Programs; NIDA Awareness Campaign on Drug Use and HIV
- "Best Practice AIDS Standard for Corporate AIDS Programs," Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS: The "first measurement system for business and AIDS" aims to help companies develop programs to protect their workforce from HIV/AIDS and make the best use of their programs to fight the pandemic. The best practices are broken into 10 main components and are based on experiences of GBC member-companies (GBC release, 11/29).
- "Drug Abuse and HIV: Learn the Link," NIH's National Institute on Drug Abuse: The public awareness campaign about the link between drug use and HIV includes public service announcements for television and the Web site, hiv.drugabuse.gov, which includes NIDA-supported research on the subject. Partners for the campaign include the AIDS Alliance for Children, Youth and Families, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the United Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation (NIH release, 11/29).
