Some HIV-Positive People Choose Abstinence, Study Says
- "HIV Cost and Services Utilization Study," American Journal of Public Health: Laura Bogart, a RAND psychologist, and colleagues examined data from 1,339 HIV-positive people who were asked if they in the past six months had engaged in oral, anal or vaginal sex. The study finds that 11% of gay and bisexual men, 18% of heterosexual men and 18% of women with HIV/AIDS deliberately chose to be sexually abstinent (RAND release, 5/2).
