Scientists in Los Angeles have identified a new genetic candidate that could be targeted in order to treat people with post-traumatic stress disorder. ... Using genetic tools, the researchers were able to focus in on a number of genes that were candidates for influencing our learning of fear. They eventually narrowed their search down to the gene Hcn1.
