Former President Clinton to Appear on AIDS Forum to Run on MTV
Former President Clinton will be among the panelists on "Staying Alive: A Global Youth Forum on HIV/AIDS," Zap2it.com/Chicago Tribune reports. The forum, which will be taped on Thursday at the XIV International AIDS Conference in Barcelona, Spain, will feature a group of teens and young adults from 25 countries as well as UNAIDS Executive Director Peter Piot, Paulo Teixeira of the Brazilian Health Ministry and Vicki Ehrich of GlaxoSmithKline (Zap2it.com/Chicago Tribune, 7/9). MTV will begin airing the special on its networks on Friday as part of a new "youth-oriented" HIV/AIDS awareness campaign being launched in conjunction with the Kaiser Family Foundation and Family Health International. MTV reaches 382 million households in 165 countries (Reuters/Newsday, 7/9).
