CLARIFICATION
A Los Angeles Times article included on Tuesday in a Kaiser Daily HIV/AIDS Report story on several bills signed into law this weekend by outgoing California Gov. Gray Davis (D) "mischaracterized the position of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation" on HIV testing for pregnant women, according to a Times correction published on Sunday. According to the correction, AHF "does not advocate mandatory HIV testing of pregnant women, as the story suggested." Instead, AHF supports an opt-out HIV testing system for pregnant women (Los Angeles Times, 10/12).
