Recognizing George W. Bush’s Contributions To Health In Africa
"Former president George W. Bush made great strides and contributions towards improving African health during his time in office, a legacy that he continues to carry with him today," according to a post in Malaria No More's "Malaria Policy Center" blog. The blog highlights a recent article published by the Dallas Morning News, which "offers perspectives from those who have witnessed first-hand the success of many of the measures Bush implemented while in office," and notes, "By the time Bush’s final term drew to a close, death rates from AIDS had dropped significantly, by nearly 50 percent in Zambia and over 60 percent in Botswana" (Todd, 6/12).
